This is the outskirts of oakcliff not the heart of it. I’ve grown up in Dallas and Overton rd, Beckley rd,Kiest and Polk rd, that’s the heart of it.

I mean, its not like it was the greatest place to be before Katrina. Couldnt walk to the store w/o getting into some shit. Children throwing rocks at ya, lol, messy hoes wanna fight ya for no reason, niggas tryna holla and cursing ya out because you ignored them. Crack heads, drug dealers, youngg dudes you went to high school with dying left and right. Shit, atleast its quiet for the ppl that still live there. You couldnt get a day where you can drive around and nobody was out and it def looks much cleaner as far as trash and crack pipes being laid all over.

How could you skip South Of the Border? Not as many Pedro signs going north.

Lets be honest here I 95 should be at least 3 lanes the whole route. Florida and Georgia is cool but the Carolinas and Virginia its all fucked up

I used to like downtown Florence a little bit back in the day. I'm 41 now. These days, it's been a nightmare for me to even walk around there, especially in certain places. The city was also voted one of the top ten worst towns for LGBTQ people in America, back in 2021, when a survey was done by Equality Federation! I honestly don't think that ANY progress has been made(in that regard) since that year ; the local Equality group for the area might be too "cliquish" and naive, with a small town mentality unable to tackle these issues. I dunno! I've also dealt with the most bigotry from people and places that would otherwise seem to want to combat that problem, too. It's backwards, I tell ya! Anyway,.....there seem to be a healthy mix of both good and bad opinions about the area on this message board. Just thought that I might chime in as well.

2:25:30-2:26:30 is this where I-95 will meet the future Interstate 73? At. 2:26:08 it looks like they are constructing an overpass in the median which leads me to think I-73 will pass under I-95. Perhaps future Exit 185 on I-95?

We drove the entirety of South Carolina via interstate 95 to North Carolina coming out of Florida once. This route definitely beats going local routes heading to Virginia

Make this drive every year from Philadelphia to Orlando, South Carolina takes forever to drive through. If you're headed north have fun with the construction on 95 through 75% of NC with a 50mph. Absolute torture.

California 210 should be added to the I210 route...but the disaster that is the I210/CA134/Non-existent I710 interchange really needs to be completely demolished and rebuilt first. There's really no difference in the road once you pass the CA57 interchange so why CalTrans didn't want to have the whole route designated I210 is beyond me.

The Silver dome went after the auto industry started leaving. It really never made a big difference for the town. As with many older cities, infrastructure improvements didn't keep up with the changing times, education was geared to the auto industry, but so we're other cities. The future of these cities are not lost. Everyone of them is connected by history, and an Inner State Highway

In the 1960s II lived at 4th at Tilhgman (spelling) when I worked and Hess’s and Zollingers in the display department. Allot has changed since then and Hamilton St has lost its downtown appeal and become use another street. Now I live in the Pacific Northwest in Longview WA after a career in theatre. Got my start as Allentown’s Civic Theatre and the Municipal Opera company. thanks for the memories.

Nice to see Charleston and the highway of interstate 26. The viaduct here leads to the heart of Charleston and the friendly capital city. Lots to chrck out in Charleston
